Welcome to Strathspey Tours

Hi and welcome to Strathspey Tours based in a snowy Grantown-on-Spey within the Cairngorms National Park in the Scottish Highlands.  A year ago I had planned to launch my business in the spring of 2020 and was all geared up having purchased an eight seater Ford Tourneo to take guests on tour around this beautiful area of Scotland. Then along came the Covid pandemic and the rest is history, especially for tourism and hospitality.

I was also mid way through my Green Badge course with the University of the Highlands and Islands and the Scottish Tourist Guide Association. Having completed the course work and written tests, all that was left was the final practical assessment in May. Again due to the pandemic this was put on hold. So roll forward to January 2021 there is some light at the end of the tunnel and we should shortly hear how we will be assessed.

Lockdown continues and vaccinations are being rolled out, so there could be green shoots of recovery for tourism and I hope to be able to welcome you soon.  I’ve also been spending the time brushing up my social media skills and this blog will hopefully continue and engage with you about what you can expect to see and do in Grantown and  surrounding areas.

I can offer guided walking tours of Grantown, Inverness city centre and Culloden Battlefield. My driver/guided tours will be limited to day tours from Grantown and vicinity around the Cairngorms National Park to Elgin, the Moray Firth and Inverness. Not only the scenery from the Cairngorm mountains to the sea but lots of culture, heritage, whisky distilleries, coffee and cake !

Please contact if you would like to know more or have any questions. I hope to share my journey and perhaps meet up with you on tour in the future.
